Youth Football Camps
Andrew grew up in the metro-Atlanta area, where his talent and football skills were developed and strengthened. The foundation has been hosting an annual Youth Football Camp in the area for years, developing hundreds of youth athletes in the generation to grow as leaders both on and off the field. The free football camp provides youth with instruction from current and former NFL athletes, focusing on developing not only their football skills but also their team-building abilities and leadership capabilities.
Education
Andrew attended Pace Academy, where he excelled academically, athletically, and musically. For this reason, the foundation has a holistic approach to supporting students to foster the love of learning in the classroom, participate in extracurricular activities, and provide resources. Current activities include:
Andrew has worked with Pace Academy to establish the Andrew Thomas Foundation Scholarship for a student athlete playing football this academic year. The student will get tuition assistance and support to engage in extracurricular activities.
Andrew hosts back-to-school events providing backpacks and essential school supplies to students in need.
Food Distributions
Seven years ago, Andrew wanted to provide food to families in his hometown of Lithonia by starting the Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. The foundation distributes over 300 turkeys and pantry boxes to families in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Mayor Shameka S. Reynolds. Each year, the event gets bigger to create more impact in the community.
